Colliers Wood, created on the site of the former Moorgreen Colliery is a community woodland that forms part of the Greenwood Community Forest. Although it has been restored fairly recently it is already developing a rich mosaic of habitats. The woodlands, hedgerows meadows and ponds are attracting a wide range of wildlife. Animals, birds and insects are returning to what was until recently a ravaged landscape.
